You've likely heard the saying: "Whether you believe you can, or you believe you can't, you are correct."
The thoughts you decide to invest in have great power in coming true. If you don't think you are capable, you will likely perform the behaviors that ensure failure. But if you believe you can accomplish a goal, you are exponentially more likely to invest the time, learn the behaviors, and muster the courage required to succeed in your endeavor.
I like to say it like this:
When your create intention you create your future.
When you negate intention, you create your future.

Intention is extremely powerful. Approaching your work, your relationships, or your business with the right intention, gives you the ability to direct the course of your future. Intention will help create necessary steps that ensure success, and cause the impact you want to make. Intention sets the stage for change. It can tee-up your next sale. It can create profound relationships. It can direct your behavior.
If you move forward without intention, you also create your future. Without intention you lack direction. You lack learn the behaviors or steps of success, because, well...you don't even have a target to be considered successful. You leave your future subject to happenstance. Coincidence. Luck.
I don't know a Profound Leader who relies on luck. Don't get me wrong, luck happens. But leaders don't rely on it. (And it coincidently happens more often to those who set their intentions with great care.)
But setting your intention is just the beginning. You must also act.
What is your intention today? Do you intend to have that hard but meaningful conversation? Is your intention focused on completing that checklist? Do you intend to prepare that presentation deck? Do you intend to stay in your pajamas and scroll Instagram? Is your intention to leave your future up to luck, or are you going to create the future you want?
Set your intention to create your future. Then follow it up with action.
Go. Be. Profound.
